Volume V - lunch
We went out to lunch
yesterday
And he complained about
everything
The table took too long
Same with the waitress
She brought soup and salad
quickly
that was a bright spot
The pasta sucked ...
I enjoyed the whole meal.
Watching a cranky old man
pissed about being disgruntled
is funny.
Other crotchety old bastards
seem to enjoy it
As if it’s a prize
won with endurance –
they’ve earned the right
to be considered grumpy
But it bugs John
People used to love him
Now he’s just a bald guy
Smokin’ cigarettes and
trying to pick up chicks
from the passenger seat
of a Volkswagon.
